WAC-IA connects to WordPress via a secure API, enabling automatic content submission.
There are two ways to configure this integration:
JetPack, the plugin developed by Automattic that enables publishing via email.
WP WAC, WeAreContent's own plugin that offers a more direct connection and additional optimization options.
Below you will find instructions for installing and configuring each method, as well as the necessary considerations for choosing the alternative that best suits your website.
Option 1: JetPack
Configure from your website:
From the website administration panel, where you will publish the content, you must install the Jetpack plugin (Jetpack: security, backup, speed…) developed by Automattic: https://jetpack.com/es/.
Once installed, go to the main menu >JetPack > Settings.
Select the tab Tickets, locate the section Publish via email and activate the option.
The plugin will automatically generate an email address. That's the email you need to enter on WAC Platform.
Important considerations
If this option is used, the other two methods should not be used in the same place, as it can generate security conflicts.
All articles are published as “created by the administrator”.
Categories and tags are assigned; if they do not exist, they are created automatically.
The meta description and keyword are not sent.
The item is received in the following condition: eraser.
Option 2: WAC WP plugin configuration
Configuration from the website:
A download link for the file is provided .zip format, which contains the WeAreContent plugin. Download it here: https://files.wearecontent.com/wac-wp-api-post-v4.1.1.zip
Once downloaded, you must install it from the website administration panel in WordPress.
Create a user with the role of Editor, preferably with a name that indicates the posts are coming from WeAreContent. That's the username you should provide to WeAreContent.
Generate an application password. That is the password you must provide to WeAreContent.
Important considerations
All articles are published as “created by the user” indicated by you.
If the categories or tags do not exist, they are created automatically.
In order to create categories or tags from the platform, the user with the Editor role must have permissions to do so.
Both the meta description and the keyword are sent.
